Brecksville’s Home Days Preview

Brecksville’s Home Days celebration starts in less than a week. 

The four-day event kicks off on Thursday evening and continues through Sunday night. And there’s an especially big reason to celebrate this year, as it is the city’s . 

The festivities run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, according to the city’s calendar. 

And there are a lot of activities packed into those hours. Here are a couple of interesting events for each day from the city’s website:

• Thursday: Live music, mixed with trivia from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Friday: Live music, mixed with trivia from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Saturday: The Brecksville Recreation Dog Jog/Fun Walk starts at 9 a.m., with registration beginning at 8:45 a.m. at the Blossom Hill complex. The Brecksville-Broadview Heights schools' alumni association will hold its pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. until noon. And the will begin at 2 p.m.
• Sunday: There’s a family fun run/walk at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 5-K race at 9 a.m. The transportation show runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at , and the fireworks display starts at 10 p.m.
