Contest Going on Now in the Cleveland Metroparks

If you’re a fan of whitewater rafting, listen up.

The Cleveland Metroparks, Cleveland Family magazine and Ohio Sports & Fitness magazine have joined together in the “Find the Oar” contest running through Sunday. The winner, which will be announced July 11, will receive a whitewater rafting package for four at River Expeditions in West Virginia. 

Bob Rotatori, the manager of marketing and public relations for the Metroparks, said the magazines and the parks are partners on a few projects, and they decided to turn this giveaway into a quick contest. The contest, which began on June 30, just gives people another reason to take a trip into the Metroparks, he said. 

People can take part in the contest by stopping by one of nearly 20 locations in the Metroparks, Rotatori said – either a nature center, a golf course or a swimming area – and looking for a picture of an oar. The contest ends at 10 p.m. on Sunday.
