Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad Cancels Trips in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Until Future Notice

Construction in the park has caused delays.

Starting today, the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad will not be making any trips in the until construction on the railway is complete.

Construction along the Valley Railway, the historic railroad in the national park, has been causing significant delays for visitors, said Mary Pat Doorley, public affairs officer for the park. Some of the delays have been up to two hours, she added.

The construction began this winter and has continued into the summer. Doorley called the cancellation a "hard decision" but said they are hoping the construction will be completed during the upcoming weeks. At this time, there is no expected date for the railway to reopen.
