Donkeys on the Lam in Brecksville

Brecksville resident Becca Craig was shocked to glance out the front window of her Gatewood Drive home to find two donkeys chasing her pup Barney around the front yard Tuesday afternoon.

She quickly reacted, and pulled her dog inside to safety.

But not before taking a snapshot of the incident.

Turns out that the animals had escaped through an open fence at the nearby Brecksville Stables. 

The donkeys were rounded up and returned to the stables.

Craig took a light-hearted approach to the incident.

“I was terrified they were going to kick my dog,” she said. “They got out of fence, but it has been fixed. All were safe. My dog (is) just traumatized.”
