Last Chance: Take Part in the Memorial Day Parade

Help the city honor the men and women who have served the country.

Individuals and groups who want to take part in this year’s need to get their applications in to by Sunday.

Memorial Day is a big event in Brecksville, one that will be made even more meaningful this year as the city remembers , who died in Afghanistan last summer. Kancler’s mother, Paula Kancler, will be the featured speaker after the parade, according to information from the city.

The parade will begin at 9 a.m. on May 28 at City Hall. Participants will begin gathering at 8:15 a.m. The parade will include the marching band and members of the .

Others are invited to march in the parade or to take part by helping carry the city’s flag. Applications are available online or at City Hall. They must be returned to the Mayor’s office by May 20.
