Memorial Day Activities Slated in Brecksville
An annual parade and ceremony will mark the holiday.
Brecksville takes Memorial Day seriously.
One of only a handful of nearby cities with a parade, the Brecksville’s annual Memorial Day Parade is scheduled to step off at City Hall at 10:30 a.m. May 27.
The parade, which will include the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Marching Band and Bicentennial Committee member floats, is expected to include more than 50 parade entries.

At the cemetery, the parade’s finish, Mayor Jerry N. Hruby will give opening remarks and there will be a flag raising, the Call to Colors and a 21-gun salute. The Chippewa Garden Club will be selling flowers. Residents can remember veterans and pay his or her respects during the hour-long ceremony.
Refreshments will be available at Brecksville Fire Station following the ceremony.
