Power Outages Darken NE Ohio

Brecksville goes unscathed in scattered outages.

Icy conditions have contributed to a series of power outages in several Patch areas on Monday. Particularly hard hit are Lakewood and Shaker Heights. Brecksville was unaffected.

FirstEnergy spokesperson Mark Durbin said, “We’re hopeful” to get power restored soon, but some areas may not be restored until Tuesday.

As of about 9 a.m. Monday, 4,800 Lakewood customers were without power, Durbin said, and 1,200 Shaker Heights customers were without power.
