Rain Doesn't Dampen Brecksville's Holiday Cheer

The annual Christmas parade and tree lighting took place Sunday afternoon.

Brecksville Road was lined with umbrellas and festive Santa hats Sunday afternoon for the city’s annual Christmas parade.

The event began at 4 p.m., with the sounds of the marching band’s drummers and children’s excited squeals signaling the start. Local businesses and organizations like Girl Scout troops braved the rain to ride on floats and march down the street, passing out candy along the way.

After the parade, the crowd gathered in Public Square to listen to a few carols and see the tree lighting.
