What Would You Improve in Brecksville in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Brecksville, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Brecksville to make it an even better place to live?

Maybe you have some ideas for what should go in the vacant VA Medical Center property or you'd like to see some work done on the roads in your neighborhood.

What is on your Brecksville wish list? What is one thing you would improve in 2013?

Tell us in the comment section below or blog about why you love living here!

I would like to see functions where the community could be brought closer together. I feel that Brecksville should have a Community Garage Sale day like Richfield and Hinkley and other surrounding suburbs. The Hinkley fire department is always a treat where you could buy home made nuts rolls and chili and so much more. I love going to those functions and look forward to it every year and mark my calendar the minute the next one is announced. Community garage sale days give the residents an opportunity to not only socialize with others, but they get rid of items they no longer need and even make a little bit of money on the side.

I would like it if Brecksville started requiring people with sidewalks (particularly on main roads) to shovel a path so people could walk safely.

The community should have more bicycle parking. The downtown is a short bike ride away from the residential areas, but there are no racks outside of the businesses to safely park your bicycle.
