Rush For A Cause: Family Sports Blitz

Press Release: Family Sports Blitz 2013



Brecksville, Ohio - June 2013 – The nonprofit organization
aiding severely injured student athletes will be holding a fundraiser on August
17.  It’s an event that’s fun for the
whole family and includes a cheerleading clinic for ages pre-k and up!  The clinic will be from 10:15 am to 12:15 pm
with a showcase performance on the main stage. 
Pre-registration is available online or day of event registration opens
at 9:30 am.  The cheer clinic will be conducted
by Cheer World.  Cheer World is a
nationally ranked competitive cheerleading program.  The clinic will be instructed by competitive
Cheer World cheerleaders, experienced high school and college level
cheerleaders.  Also at the event,
athletes from across Ohio and beyond will come together to scrimmage in soccer,
rugby, football, and volleyball.



Ever since its founding by Matt Galland in 2009, the
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization Rush For a Cause (RFC) has been assisting
qualifying student-athletes who have had life-altering accidents render them
tragically and catastrophically injured. RFC’s goals are also to raise
awareness for and prevent such injuries. The organization’s annual Family
Sports Blitz at the Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School has proved to be
a fun for all ages attracts a crowd of more than 12,000!

“The goal of our organization is to help injured athletes in
all sports lead productive lives and contribute to society following their
accident, while encouraging and supporting self-sufficiency and self-esteem.
Together, we can make a difference”, said President Debbie Galland.
