The Brecksville Firefighters Clambake is kind of a big deal.
In it’s 44th year, the annual event is sort of a tradition.
The Brecksville Firefighters Association’s annual clambake started as a way to raise money for equipment. Nearly a half-century later, the tradition has continued, but the money raised now benefits a variety of causes, such as schools.
The clambake — and steak roast — is slated to take place at the Brecksville Service Garage from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 7.
Tickets are on sale for $35 per person, and $10 for an additional dozen clams.
If you’re planning on attending, you’d better buy those tickets in advance — it’s the only way to go.
