Szczurek was the daughter of Tom and Vickie (Dodds) Szczurek, the sister of Nathan Szczurek and the granddaughter of Jack and Helen Dodds and the late Eugene and Anne Szczurek.
Szczurek was involved at organizations at the high school, like National Honor Society, and loved music and animals. Donations can be made to the to the Northeast Ohio SPCA in Parma in her memory. Services will be private.
