Brecksville Man Involved in Fatal I-90 Accident

The two-car accident killed a 63-year-old construction worker on Sept. 12.

One of two drivers involved in a two-car accident Wednesday morning is from Brecksville, according to the .

A press release issued that shut I-90 down for 5 hours and claimed the life of a construction worker, said Nathan Reese, 34, of Avon was driving a 2008 Honda Odyssey involved in the incident.

Anthony J. Rose Jr., 50, of Breckville, was driving a 2006 Jeep Liberty, also involved in the accident, which is still under investigation. An earlier press release listed the driver of that vehicle as Rose's brother, Michael Rose, 46 of Brecksville.

Michael Rose reportedly went to the scene to help his brother after the accident.

According to a police report, at 9:12 a.m. the Avon Police received a call of a motor vehicle accident in the near I-90 and Nagel Road in Avon, where a new interchange is being worked on.

A 63-year-old construction worker, whose name was not released by Wednesday evening, was struck by one of the vehicles. The injured worker was transported by the fire department to the where he was later pronounced dead.

I-90 westbound was shut down from the Crocker Road exit to the SR 83 exit for five hours, opening again at 2:15 p.m.

The accident remains under investigation.
