Brecksville Police Blotter: Charges of Drug Possession and Reported Damages

The following incidents were reported by the from Dec. 8 to Dec. 10. The information was compiled from police reports.

Police find drugs hidden in a safe
A 48-year-old Brecksville man was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia after officers found it in his home on the 8400 block of Whitewood Road on Dec. 8. The officers were at the home at 7:19 a.m. with an unrelated search warrant when they found a safe filled with marijuana and paraphernalia like smoking pipes, a metal scale and a purple bong. Police also found instructions on how to grow marijuana in the safe. A search of the man’s son’s bedroom also turned up some marijuana and paraphernalia. The report said the son would be charged by the city’s juvenile officer.

Damaged air conditioning unit reported
On Dec. 10, a Brecksville resident reported that the inside of her air conditioning unit was torn apart. Police visited her home in the 6900 block of Carriage Hill Drive. The resident said she hadn’t been near the unit since September, but a neighbor had noticed someone ripping it apart earlier that week. The neighbor said she thought they might be repairing it. Police are investigating. The report is labeled as a theft from a building.
