A Cleveland man was charged with speeding and driving under the influence at nearly 4 a.m. on March 2. The officer pulled over the car of Keelyn D. Tinsley, 46, after noticing that he was speeding on interstate 77 and that one of his headlights was burned out. When the officer approached Tinsley’s car, he smelled alcohol. The man reported that his license was suspended, and the officer took him back to the station for field sobriety tests, which Tinsley failed. Officers also later found an open container in his vehicle. Tinsley refused to sign a waiver to speak with the officer and refused to take a breath sample test.

A work-related disagreement:

A Brecksville employer reported to the police on Feb. 25, citing concerns with a former employee. The employer had fired the employee earlier that day, and reported that the employee had threatened to harm him and other employees.  The employer said he did not fear for his safety, but that he did not want the employee on company grounds or near his home. Officers contacted the employee, who said the disagreement was not as heated as described and assured police that he would not be causing any trouble.
