Drug and paraphernalia possession

A traffic stop led to officers discovering cocaine and other drugs. At 7:27 p.m. on July 20, an officer pulled over a van on state Route 82 that was missing a front license plate and stickers on the back plates. The two men in the vehicle said it belonged to the brother of one of them, which the officer checked. He also noted that the VIN and the license plate didn’t match up.

Reports of a stolen car

Police pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 77 that was registered as stolen or unauthorized use at noon on July 20. The driver, a 29-year-old Cleveland man, immediately told officers that it was a misunderstanding with the mother of the passenger in the front seat. The passenger, a 29-year-old Cleveland woman, said the Cleveland Browns Football Organization had given the car to her. The woman had the title registered to her mother, who she said had threatened to report the station wagon stolen in the past. The woman said her mother did not approve of her relationship with the driver. The woman said she had gotten the title for the vehicle, but did not have it on her.

The driver and passenger were charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and the driver was also charged for driving without a valid operators license. Another adult and a child were released without any charges.
