In interviews, police learned that the drivers of the three cars in question had allegedly blocked in a fourth car, while one of the individuals got out of a car and punched and kicked the one that was blocked in.

Earlier that evening, the driver and passengers in the blocked-in car—an 18-year-old from Broadview Heights, a juvenile from Brecksville and two juveniles from Broadview Heights— allegedly had yelled and made obscene gestures at the man who later hit the car while driving by the gas station where he worked.
