Brecksville Police Blotter: Suspicious E-mails Reported to the Police

Drug possession:
A Medina man was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at about 9 p.m. on Feb. 24. Mitchell T. Jesenovic, 24, was pulled over for speeding on Interstate 77 and admitted to having drugs on him after the officer saw a small amount in the vehicle.

A Brecksville woman reported to the police on Feb. 22 that her e-mail account had been used to send fraudulent requests for money, and that an acquaintance of hers had already responded to the request, sending more than $4,000 to a bank in the United Kingdom. She could not log into her e-mail and Facebook accounts. Police advised her to have the acquaintance come to the department to file a report and to notify her banks and credit cards of the potential for fraud.

Rantae P. Lawrence, 24, of Cleveland, was charged with the possession of marijuana shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 22 after an officer saw her weaving in traffic and talking on a cell phone on Interstate 77. The officer smelled marijuana and something that smelled like fruit after approaching the vehicle, and later found a partially smoked marijuana cigarette and a bottle of strawberry spray in the car.
