Car Window Smashed, Purse Reported Stolen at Brecksville Road Restaurant: Brecksville Police Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Brecksville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following incident was reported by the Brecksville Police Department on Dec. 16. The information was compiled from a police report.

A couple went to dinner and when they finished, found someone had helped themselves to the woman's purse.

The man said he and his wife parked on the south side of the Burntwood Tavern at about 6:15 p.m. Dec. 16. He walked back to the car an hour and 15 minutes later and found the front passenger side window smashed with glass on the front seat, floor and ground. The woman's pink Coach purse was gone.

The woman said she took out her wallet and cell phone before placing the purse on the floor and going to the restaurant. The woman said she had $75 cash, a prescription bottle, keys to another car and a pair of Ralph Loren and Ray Ban sunglasses. The total estimated value of stolen items was $550.
