Disaster Drill Friday at the High School
The drill helps local safety forces practice in case of an emergency.
If you spot some police cars or other emergency vehicles at the Friday, there’s no need to worry—local safety forces are holding a disaster drill there today.

Intruder drills and drills for lock-downs became necessary in the 1990s after the Columbine shootings, George J. Balasko said last year. Balasko was taking part in the drill as part of the district’s safety committee.
According to the district website, activities related to the drill will run from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The drill itself is expected to begin at 11:30 a.m.
