Ex-Chief of Louis Stokes VA Charged With Corruption
William Montague charged with accepting bribes from Michael Forlani
The former director of the Louis Stokes Veterans Affairs Center was charged in federal court today on corruptions charges, several news agencies report.
William Montague's Brecksville home was raided earlier this month by federal agents, though officers would not say whether anything was removed from the home.
His bond was set today at $100,000, WKYC reports.
The Plain Dealer reports that Montague has been charged with 36 counts including "of accepting bribes and kickbacks, and of conspiring to defraud the Department of Veterans Affairs in league with convicted electrical contractor Michael Forlani, the former owner of Doan Pyramid Electric."
