Graffiti Scrawled on City Property

The following information was supplied by the Brecksville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Criminal mischief: Police received a report that the freshly painted picnic pavilion pillars β€” near the Kids Quarters playground β€”were vandalized sometime between Aug. 13 and Aug. 14. The area with the scrawled graffiti will need to be repainted.

Drunken driving: A 21-year-old Hudson man was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Chippewa Road at around 12:30 a.m. Aug. 16. He was also charged with alcohol consumption in a motor vehicle and failure to drive in marked lanes.

Warrant: A 29-year-old Cleveland man was taken into custody after officers learned he had a warrant out for his arrest out of the Parma Police Department, following a traffic stop on Interstate 90 at around 10:45 a.m. Aug. 20.Β
