Man Charged With Drunken Driving After Speeds Hit 100 MPH

The following information was supplied by the Brecksville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Drunken driving: A 39-year-old Cleveland man was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Interstate 77 at around 12:50 a.m. July 2. An officer observed the man’s vehicle traveling at nearly 100 mph. After the traffic stop, officers found several empty beer bottles in the cargo area of the van. After failing sobriety tests, he was charged with drunken driving and speeding.

Warrant: A 48-year-old man was picked up by the Brecksville Police Department after officers found he had an active arrest warrant out of the Bainbridge Police Department, following a traffic stop on Brecksville Road at around 8:30 a.m. July 1.
