Man Drives Car Off the Road to Avoid Striking Deer

The car sustained heavy damage, but the 68-year-old Fairlawn man was able to walk away from the crash.

Police and EMS crews responded to a call that a man drove his car off of Riverview Road, just south of Snowville, at around 10 a.m. Sept. 13.

After striking the guardrail, the car came to rest in a grassy area east of the road. The car sustained heavy damage, but the 68-year-old Fairlawn man was able to walk away from the crash with only minor injuries.

He told police that the last thing he remembered was seeing a deer in the road.
