Man Faces Marijuana Charge After Racing His Brother on I-77

The following arrest information was supplied by the Brecksville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Man arrested on marijuana charge

A 21-year-old Akron man was charged with marijuana possession following a traffic stop on Interstate 77 at around 10 p.m. Feb. 10. He was apparently racing his brother, who was in trailing vehicle, on the highway. Officers clocked the speeds as high as 95 mph. He was also charged with speeding.

Marijuana charge

A 20-year-old Lorain man was charged with possession of marijuana following a traffic stop on I-77, near Oakes Road, around 4:30 p.m. Feb. 9.

Drunken driving

A 33-year-old Brecksville man was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol at 8383 Chippewa Road at around 8 p.m. Feb. 9.

More drunken driving

A 29-year-old Copley woman was charged with drunken driving following a traffic stop on I-77 at around 2:30 a.m. Feb. 10.
