Pair of Pot Busts Lead to Arrests in Brecksville

The following information was supplied by the Brecksville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Marijuana possession: A 29-year-old Strongsville man was arrested and charged with marijuana possession following a traffic stop on Brecksville Road at around 8 p.m. July 3. During a traffic stop, a Brecksville police officer spotted a bag of marijuana on the floor of the car near the man’s foot. Following a traffic stop, officers found more marijuana in a contact lens container. The man was also charged with speeding.

Another pot possession charge: A 26-year-old Canton man was arrested and charged with marijuana possession following a traffic stop on Interstate 77 at around 10:45 a.m. July 5. After officers learned that the driver had failed to reinstate his license, he was arrested. That’s when officers found a bag of marijuana in his pocket. He was also charged with speeding.
