Resident Finds Son’s Car “Keyed”: Brecksville Police Blotter

The following incidents were reported by the Brecksville Police Department on Sept. 13 to 15. The information was compiled from police reports.

Criminal mischief
A Brecksville resident called police on Sept. 15 after learning that her son’s car had been “keyed.” The resident had been shopping at the time of the incident, and her son had been inside sleeping. There were two long key marks on the drivers’ door and the rear passenger door on the same side of the car. The car had been parked in the driveway of their home in the 3300 block of Oakes Road. Both the resident and her son said there were no problems with anyone in the neighborhood or at school.

Disorderly conduct/public intoxication
A Cleveland man was charged with disorderly conduct/public intoxication after bothering his fellow customers at the County Line Saloon. Police arrived at 1:17 a.m. on Sept. 13. The person who called told police the man had been cut off from ordering more drinks, and that he kept asking customers for a ride home. Police told the man that the bar was closing and tried to find him a way home; he had been visiting his father in the area earlier that day, but said it was too late to call anyone. The man had been staying in a shelter recently, and police offered to drive him somewhere if he could find a place to stay. The man refused, saying “just take me to jail.” The 52-year-old Cleveland man was charged with disorderly conduct/public intoxication.
