Stolen Jewelry Reported and Marijuana Found: Brecksville Police Blotter

The following information was supplied by the Brecksville Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The following incidents were reported by the Brecksville Police Department from May 30 to June 2. The information was compiled from police reports.

Stolen jewelry
A Brecksville resident called police on June 2 to report that all of her jewelry was missing from her home on the 3300 block of Royalton Road.

The resident did not know when the jewelry went missing, but she last remembers seeing it a week prior. She said her daughter had friends in and out of the house during that week.

The missing jewelry included a gold necklace, a diamond ring and pearl earrings, all of which the resident estimated was worth $2,700. Two silver wedding bands and a gold wedding band were also missing, but the resident did not know their value. The incident is still under investigation.

Faulty headlight leads to drug charge
An officer pulled over a car on state Route 82 after noticing that it was lacking a functional driver’s side headlight at 2:30 a.m. on May 30. The driver’s license was suspended for failing to pay a citation in Broadview Heights. Police searched the driver for weapons or contraband, finding a prescription bottle of marijuana in the 20-year-old Brecksville man’s pocket. He was charged with driving under suspension and possession of marijuana and cited for the headlight. The passenger walked to Giant Eagle to wait for a ride.
