5 Things You Need to Know This Week, June 20 – 26

Home Days starts Thursday, but there are plenty of other things going on this week before then.

  1. There’s a Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education meeting at 7 p.m. tonight. According to the agenda, the board will address a variety of financial issues during the meeting, such as the 2011-2012 pay-to-participate fee and the five-year financial forecast. 
  2. The Friends of the Brecksville Library are sponsoring “Travelin’ Tuesdays: Teddy Roosevelt” at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the . A historical interpreter will portray the 26th president, discussing his various accomplishments, according to the library’s website
  3. City Council meets at 8 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the agenda, the council will recognize a local Eagle Scout. 
  4. There will be a blood drive at the from 1 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the American Red Cross’ website, donors will receive a Vans Warped Tour VIP pass and a T-shirt.
