Beautification Award Winners and City Grant Applications: What’s on City Council’s Agenda

There is a lot on City Council’s agenda for Tuesday night's meeting in . Here’s a quick look at some of the items council will discuss. The full agendas are to the right.

  • The council committees will meet before the regular meeting, starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be an executive session at the end of that meeting, which is closed to the public.
  • The Streets and Sidewalks Committee will discuss a variety of possible projects, including city applications for funding to improve the corridor and the State Route 82 Streetscape Project, which would involve installing additional raised islands in the center of that road.
  • Council will discuss—and then vote on—some purchases for the and the Service Department. This includes portable radios and equipment for the police and a wheel loader for the Service Department.
  • At the beginning of the regular meeting, City Council will recognize the winners of the 2012 Beautification Awards.
