Brecksville branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library Closed Wednesday

A smell from the construction closed the branch today and one day last week.

The closed at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

There was a smell coming in the building from the and they decided to close the building for the safety of staff and guests, said Scott Morgan, the library system’s operations director and fiscal officer. The roof on the building is being replaced, and the glue product for the flat roofs caused a smell that was beginning to bother staff, he said. 

The library was . Morgan said they hope to have the branch open again on Thursday.

The library was able to move a children’s program that was scheduled for 1 p.m. to the , Morgan said.
