Serving on City Council for the last 22 years and being a part of the progress our town has made has been a privilege. I continue to have the passion and commitment to serve on City Council and would be honored to be re-elected. Brecksville has been my home since 1957. During the last 54 years, Brecksville has changed a lot, and yet it remains the small, charming town I remember growing up in. With the Mayor’s slogan for the city being “Building our Future with Respect for our Past,” I believe that it is valuable to have knowledge of our past, and now as my children continue to raise their families in Brecksville, to have a sincere interest in continuing Brecksville’s fine heritage.

In the coming term, I want to continue to budget our city funds conservatively to maintain our strong financial ratings, continue to promote our economic development as the short and long term economic engine for the city, and maintain a vibrant downtown as a center of community gathering and business services. The two most important areas that will shape Brecksville’s future are the redevelopment of the VA property and the Blossom Hill/Tree Farm properties. A master plan is needed for both and is presently being pursued. As soon as funds can be made available, I would like the city to move forward with its plans for a new Police Station and continued recreational development at Blossom Hill.
