Brecksville City Council Gets an Update on Tuesday’s Flood

The mayor took some time during to thank the city employees who spent the early hours of the morning cleaning up from the flood. 

Mayor Jerry N. Hruby said the employees in many departments “went way beyond the call of duty,” responding to emergencies and then helping to clean flooded areas throughout the day. 

The first call came at about 3:15 a.m. for a portion of Brecksville Road across from the service department lot and the post office drop-off, said Director of Public Services Ron Weidig. Employees started checking around town shortly after.
