Democrat Anthony Fossaceca is hoping to represent Ohio’s 6th district in the state House of Representatives. Fossaceca, who will face incumbent Republican Marlene Anielski in November, said he wanted to do something a bit unconventional to show voters the dedication and the energy that he’d bring to the position if elected.
So on Wednesday, Fossaceca set out to walk through all 18 communities in the 6th district. His trip started at the Panera in Seven Hills just before 9 a.m. and will end at Amy Joy Donuts in Lyndhurst at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Brecksville was early on Fossaceca’s route, and he stopped at for lunch before setting out again. He’s planning to go pretty much nonstop, save for breaks for food and a short nap at his home in Chagrin Falls.
Fossaceca said he’s been able to talk to some people, and he has pamphlets to leave for everyone, especially the people whose houses he’ll be passing in the middle of the night. As of 12:30 p.m., he said the weather had been great and the walk was going well.
“So far, so good,” he said before leaving Simon’s and heading back on the road. “It’s early.”
