After the city did its , they found there was a lot more mulch than they needed, said Director of Public Services Ron Weidig.
So, instead of just stockpiling the wood chips, the city has decided to offer it to residents.
The mulch is available in the municipal lot by the and the Service Department. People can help themselves—there is no cost, but the city is not helping people load it, either. The city will keep piling up the mulch as long as they have it, Weidig said. The mulch was available beginning at the end of last week.
