Home Slated for Demolition to Make Way for New Police Station

When the city of Brecksville built its city hall and the current police station more than 40 years ago, the size of the space worked out fine.

The construction of Brecksville’s new police station could begin as soon as this fall, but first the city would need to demolish a house — located across the street from the current fire station.

City officials have said the city is in serious need of a new police station.

There were about 25 employees then. Today, there are about 130. 

When the city builds its new police station, it will certainly need some additional space.
