Mayor Raised More Than $17,000 in Fall Campaign

Some of the money was donated to local causes and other campaigns.

Jerry N. Hruby may have been unopposed in this fall’s mayoral race, but that doesn’t mean he was lacking in support.

In fact, the Hruby for Mayor Committee collected more than $17,000 during the campaign.

Candidates filed campaign finance reports with the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, showing their contributions and expenditures during the campaign for the Nov. 8, 2011 election. The post-general election reports were due on Dec. 16. Once the reports are audited, they will be available online. These figures were pulled from the unaudited reports provided by the board of elections.

The mayor raised $17,610, not including the nearly $5,000 that was brought from a previous report. Much of that money went toward printing costs, advertisements or costs associated with a fundraiser. Hruby also paid back a $2,500 loan he had given the campaign.

But a portion was donated to a variety of causes.

The committee gave $1,540 to the Advertising Products Company as a , $200 to , $405 for trophies for the and $400 for the Shop with a Cop program, among other causes.
