More Road Repairs Scheduled for Brecksville This Summer

The repairs are scheduled to begin in early July.

The city of Brecksville will take on some more road repairs this summer. 

During the , members of council approved an approximately $100,000 addition to the year’s road repair program, allowing the service department to fix concrete on additional sections of roads. 

Service Director Ron Weidig said the department has already finished replacing the concrete in the first set of roads approved for repairs at the . This next set, listed below, will begin after July 4.

To replace the concrete, employees cut the bad concrete out and pour new concrete, Weidig said. They take on half of the street at a time. 

Weidig said the city’s planned asphalt repairs on sections of Highland Drive, Barr Road and Old Royalton Road will also begin after the July 4 holiday, and that other, smaller repairs may take place over the summer.
