Sewer Project on Riverview Road to Start in July

Construction on the is scheduled to begin next week.

A sewer will be installed along Riverview Road, and residents will be required to connect their homes to it. During a meeting about the project in December, residents were told that the project was necessary to meet Environmental Protection Agency requirements.

The city held a preconstruction meeting for residents Monday night at . The meeting included an overview of the construction timeline, which is set to begin on July 6 with clearing of the affected areas. All dates in the construction process could change, however.

Riverview Road will only be open to local traffic from Preston Village Drive to Chippewa Road during construction, City Engineer Gerald Wise said before the meeting. For residents and others who are allowed to drive on Riverview Road, there will be one open lane.
