Snowville Road Set to Close for Construction

The road will be closed to through traffic Aug. 28 and 29.

Brecksville isn’t quit past the orange barrel blues quite yet.

Snowville Road is expected to close Aug. 28 and Aug. 29, while crews install a sanitary sewer for the new Woodlands of Snowville subdivision.

The detour going westbound — the city’s suggested route is attcached — will take motorists from Dewey to Columbia roads to Black to Boston Mills roads to Brecksville Road.

The road will reopen to two-way traffic, however partial road closures will be used with a portable traffic signal “until the pavement is restored,” according to a news release.

“The Brecksville-Broadview Heights School District transportation department has been made aware of this closure and will make the necessary adjustments to maintain their bus routes,” according to the statement.

“We ask all residents to adjust their schedules accordingly to provide themselves sufficient time for this detour and abide by all the posted speed limits.”
