“There Ought to Be a Law” Contest Accepting Ideas Now

Submit your idea, and it might turn into a bill.

Have you ever wished you could be the one making the laws?

State representative Marlene Anielski wants to make that happen. 

Anielski earlier this week announced the “There Ought To Be a Law” contest, inviting constituents of the 17th district to submit their ideas for legislation.

According to the press release, the winner will be invited to lunch with Anielski and will receive a flag that flew over the statehouse. The winning idea may also be turned into a bill and introduced during the fall session. If that happens, the winner may be able to testify in support of his or her idea.
