From school news to the arts, there's lots going on in Brecksville this week.

  1. Students in the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District don’t have class today, according to the district calendar
  2. This is the last week for the winter-spring session of the ’s for children. The programs are scheduled to resume in June, with dates listed on the library’s calendar
  3. The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the . According to the agenda, the board will honor a number of students for various achievements, and then there will be a presentation on the state budget. 
  4. The is hosting a program at 7 p.m. on Wednesday for high school students and their parents called “College Survival Skills 101.” Career Pathways Specialist Donna Hessel said in an email that interested participants can register in advance or right before the event.
  5. The is hosting a from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday with music and refreshments. Since parking is limited, Board of Trustees President Ann Rittman said people can park at and take a shuttle to the center.
