5 Things You Need to Know This Week, May 23 - 29

There are a lot of ways to get involved around Brecksville this week.

  1. The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education meets at 5:30 p.m. tonight. There’s a lot on , but high school seniors may be excited to know that the official graduation list is set to be approved.
  2. There are just a few more sessions planned for the . The sessions are set for Wednesdays; call the center to see if there are any more open spots. 
  3. Students entering 5th and 6th grade next year are invited to the Summer Helpers Orientation at the at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the library’s website, the 30-minute session will give students the chance to sign up to volunteer at the library this summer, leading the Summer Reading Game for other children.
  4. The library’s calendar also shows that the building is closed this Saturday and Sunday, as well as Monday of next week.
  5. There is a blood drive at from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. According to the American Red Cross website, donors will receive a free T-shirt.
