Brecksville-Broadview Heights Beach Ball Next Weekend

It might still be chilly outside, but it will be downright tropical at the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Schools Foundation Beach Ball next weekend.

“It’s such a wonderful event,” said named fund coordinator Mary Ann Semple.

The annual fundraiser will again feature both a live and a silent auction, Semple said. The foundation’s website includes a sneak peek at the items in the live auction, from a vacation at Hilton Head to reserved seats at graduation.

There will also be a raffle for an iPad and a drawing connected to the silent auction for a Kindle Fire.

The proceeds from the event go toward scholarships for students and grants for teachers, Semple said.

Tickets are still available.

• When: Feb. 25. The event begins at 6 p.m. and dinner will start at 7 p.m.
