Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education Discusses Budget

Members are looking into a variety of ways to save money.

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education discussed different ways to possibly save the district money during its meeting Monday night.

After a discussion of the district’s revised five-year forecast and the proposed state budget cuts for schools, board members listened to a presentation from Superintendent Scot Prebles on some options for budget cuts. Those options would include staff reductions in a number of areas.

No action was taken on the options presented during Monday’s meeting. The board will meet again in early June to further discuss ways the district can reduce its expenditures.
