Brecksville-Broadview Heights Teachers Union Planning an Announcement for Monday

The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Education Association is planning to hold a press conference before the school board meeting.

The majority of the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education meeting on Monday will be closed to the public, but that won’t keep the teachers from speaking their minds.

On Monday, the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Education Association plans to hold a press conference and make an announcement regarding its plans for the start of the school year, said Todd Jaeck. Jaeck is a labor relations consultant from the Ohio Education Association who has been representing the teachers union.

The press conference will begin at 5:45 p.m.—15 minutes before the board meeting—and will be held right outside the .

The union isn’t giving away the announcement at this time. On the BeesStaff Twitter account, followers were encouraged to wear red to Monday’s meeting and to get there by 5:30 p.m.

The school board meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and to mostly be held in executive session. The full agenda can be found on the district’s website.
