Do You Agree With the Sun News Endorsement of the School Levy?
The newspaper recently announced its support for Issue 12.
On April 11 the Sun News wrote an editorial in support of Issue 12, the measure for the Brecksville-Broadview Heights schools operating levy on the May 7 ballot.
The paper pointed out that the district has cut $6 million in staffing and programs already and will need to cut another $6.1 million in the next four years.
"That’s what would happen should funding already in place be removed, and that would place in peril a district whose reputation alone has attracted many to these communities," according to the editorial.

The 7.4-mill renewal levy would bring in $4.8 million per year and would not raise taxes.
