Where/When:  Tri-C West, 11000 W Pleasant Valley Rd., Parma; from 6 to 7:30 p.m. tonight. Early registration begins at 5 p.m.

Why Go: This is a good opportunity for high school students to explore more than 25 health care careers. Program representatives from Tri-C's eastern, metropolitan and western campuses will be on hand to answer questions. Representatives from the enrollment center and financial aid will also be available for questions.

TRAIL TRACKERS: GEOLOGY ROCKS

Where/When: North Chagrin Nature Center, 3037 SOM Center Rd., Willoughby Hills; from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today

Why Go: Children from 3 to 6 years old will explore rocks, dirt and erosion through hands-on activities. Be sure to dress appropriately for this messy activity.

HIDDEN VALLEY HOMESCHOOLERS: CELEBRATING WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH

Where/When: CanalWay Center, 4101 Fulton Pkwy., Cleveland; from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday

Why Go: Homeschoolers ages 7 to 11 years old will learn about the local women who have made an impact in the history of the community and beyond.

• SPRING "JUST A BOOK" DROP-IN STORYTIME

Where/When: , 9089 Brecksville Rd., Cleveland; 10 a.m. Saturday

Why Go: Library staff shares a story or two. Children under 3 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Where/When: Hale Farm & Village, 2686 Oak Hill Rd, Peninsula;  at 9:30 a.m. today through Sunday

Why Go: Students in kindergarten will compare and contrast sugar camps, tools, techniques and technology used in the sugaring process. They will also visit the Hale Sugar House and other sites to learn more about sugaring in the local community. The program repeats at 2 p.m. Registration is required.
