School Board Approves Personnel Moves

The approved several personnel decisions during Monday’s board meeting, held in the auditorium.      

The board entered a two-hour executive executive session at about 5:10 to discuss personnel matters. Members did not say if they were discussing the contentious contract negotiations with teachers and support staff.

One-year contracts for certified/licensed were approved for Elizabeth Blaustein, a media specialist; Karen Coffey, a special education teacher; and Kiersten Franklin, a science teacher grades 4-9.

Recalls for educational assistants Jennifer Gee and Nancy Boyland were approved.

The vote to approve was 4-0. Board President David Tryon was absent.

The board has rescheduled its next meeting to 7 p.m. July 17 at the high school auditorium.
