School Board Meets This Evening to Discuss Negotiation with Unions
Board to seek concessions from unions.
The Brecksville-Broadview Heights Board of Education will meet this evening to discuss renegotiating terms with the district's employee unions because of current economic conditions.
An executive session is expected to be followed by a board vote on reopening negotiations with the Brecksville- Broadview Heights Education Association (BEA) and Brecksville-Broadview Heights Organizational Support Staff (BOSS).
At the May 23 board meeting, Superintendent Scot Prebles reported deep cuts in state funding totaling $2.9 million for 2011-12, which will require additional reductions by the Brecksville-Broadview district.
